We are excited to announce that this week, our themed Issue 27.2: Deception hits mail boxes! If you ordered a copy or are an Iron Horse Literary Review subscriber, you should receive your issue in the mail very soon. If you would like to buy a copy, you can purchase one here.
As Editor Leslie Jill Patterson puts it in the new issue's foreword, "the writers in this issue of IHLR have gone to work addressing deception, how it snakes around our lives in various forms." The essays, short stories, and poems in the issue deal with "self-deception, self-pity, historic duplicity, survivor's instincts, placebos we invent to treat grief, cock-and-bull stories in the name of love, to survive love, and the narratives we build to shape and shore up and understand our identities." In addition to an excellent array of creative work, Issue 27.2 features interviews with Casey Pycior and Edgar Gomez.
We at IHLR are proud to share the poetry and prose in these pages with you. We hope you will order a copy today.
